A day late and a dollar short

That was... interesting. It makes me feel weird to think that Moffat has developed a plot device that kind of negates all of human history. Especially after Ten used to run around talking about how great humans were. I guess we still have to responsible for some of our history, right?

Also, why did the episode start with this huge jump in time that was barely explained. I'm still perplexed as to how we got from the end of last week's episode to the beginning of this one. I mean, how the hell did the end up figuring out what The Silence were? I hesitate to call it lazy story-telling, surely Moffat's got some reason for the gap... right?

I thought the River-is-Amy's-daughter theory was silly. But, uh, after the end of that episode, the Little Girl Time Lady is totally Amy's daughter and River as a kid. This is the only explanation I can fathom.

Mark Sheppard needs to be on this show always! Canton Everett Delaware III is phenomenal.

Uh, all of the Nixon bits made me uncomfortable. River is awesome. The mis-direction in Amy and Rory's relationship felt cheap and obvious, but at least they haven't broken River and Amy up cuz they're still adorable.

I don't have anything smart to say, so I'm going to go off and read the smart things other people have said.
