Doctor Who: A Theory and an Episode Reaction
This episode was serviceable enough. I like the clip at which the mystery moved along, and the new theories that had to be devised every five minutes or so. Amy swashbuckling was great, I could've watched that for awhile longer. I really like the idea of a random crew of space!pirates too. I wanna follow their adventures more. My main complaint is can we please get rid of the whole "this supposedly dead character will start breathing thirty seconds after you stop performing CPR." Hasn't that trope been done to death? Can't we find new ways to create emotional tension?
Also, since my pet theory is that River is Amy's daughter infused with TARDIS juice here is my latest bit of proof: River can pilot the TARDIS so well because, as previously stated, she's infused with it. She has a time head! Obviously she'd have a close connection with the TARDIS and be able to pilot it brilliantly. Right?
