I know, you thought I'd forgotten about this little project, didn't you? Nope. Turns out I'm just a super procrastinator when it comes to posting, almost as much of a procrastinator as I am about writing. Luckily these are just long enough to get written in one register shift, so I've been managing to keep up okay.
S02E07 Negro y Azul
Jesse had heard a million of Mr. White's bogus pep talks before. Sometimes they'd been directed at the whole class, and a few, particularly excruciating, times he'd been forced into a one-on-one meeting where Mr. White would talk some crap about achieving your full potential. Jesse had always thought the speeches were bullshit before, but somehow today was different. The knowledge that he was a blowfish was invigorating.
Stepping outside he knew he could do anything. Jane was sitting on her porch. Now was the time to make a move. He ruled this ocean. He was a damn charming blowfish.
S02E08 Better Call Saul
With Badger out of town Jesse was down to two dealers, but Mr. White acted like nothing had changed. He wouldn't stop yapping about expanding their territory when he didn't have any comprehension of what that entailed. He kept talking about economics and chemistry like they were abstract concepts when Jesse was mired in the reality of them every day.
Jesse would've thought that one of the hundred things to go wrong since they started this venture would've driven Mr. White back behind his desk by now, but he just kept getting crazier.
Jesse wasn't sure he could keep up.
S02E09 4 Days Out
Neither of them had said it out loud, but they were both starting to believe they might die. The day had been sweltering and now the night was freezing. They huddled under whatever they could find in the RV. Jesse had almost suggested sharing body heat, but Mr. White's face, caught between fury and despair, stopped him.
Jesse was sure this wasn't his fault, just like he was sure Mr. White didn't care. If Mr. White didn't have someone to blame then he didn't feel in control, so Jesse shivered and kept quiet because maybe they'd still survive this together.

“Who was that guy?”
They were beating a hasty retreat out of the hardware store's parking lot.
“I dunno man. He was on to us for sure.”
“Do you think he's gonna have us killed?”
“Oh God, this was a terrible idea. It'll be a quick way to make some cash you said, we'll set ourselves up as kingpins you said. Now we're gonna die.”
“Relax. The guy just told us to stay outta his territory. If we do that, I'm sure everything'll be fine.”
“Yeah. If we do that and never cook. Ever.”
S02E11 Mandala
The morning after Jesse managed to crack his eyes open eventually. He was exhausted and he hadn't even tried to get out of bed yet. His eyes landed on the needle on the bed side table and he tried to recapture the sensation of floating that had made last night so spectacular. He could remember it, but he couldn't feel it.
Jane shifted in the bed so their backs were pressed together. Her skin was smooth and warm and Jesse wasn't ever going to move. Eventually he stopped trying to recover last night's sensation and looked forward to tonight's instead.
S02E12 Pheonix
Mr. Margolis didn't ever think of Mr. White again after their encounter, but Mr. White thought about Margolis frequently. It was impossible not to. His face would pop on the TV screen, or his name would be spoken on the radio and Walt would think, “I let your daughter die.” Walt wasn't about to accept responsibility for everyone who'd died in the plane crash, Margolis had obviously been emotionally distraught and shouldn't've returned to work.
Walt knew things were more secure with Jane out of the picture, but as a fellow father, he couldn't stop dwelling on Margolis' face.

Mike cleaned the place and ignored the kid. He'd done this job or one like it a million times.
When he went to coach the kid, he found himself caught off guard by the emotion on his face. Mike didn't know why. He'd seen people in the freshest stages of grief before, but there was something different about this kid. The way his whole face had collapsed around his eyes haunted Mike.
He was surprised when he saw the kid again, but even more surprised to realize the kid's face was still crumpled and it still hurt him to see.
