I'm kind of unhappy. I'm considering trying to transfer to UNC. I have no idea if I will get in, but I'm not convinced that Kentucky is the right place for me.

I'm hoping this feeling will pass. Reassuring words absolutely welcomed at this point.

Let's sit down and talk sometime, other than that I don't have much advice. If you're not convinced that you're not supposed to be here, that's not going to change drastically any time soon.

I don't ever doubt that you made the right choice coming here, and your experiences don't sound all that dissimilar from mine when I first got here. If you don't think you're getting the education you want, then by all means go somewhere else where you will, that's what it's all about. If it's something else talk to me, there's ways to work around the other stuff.

There are days when I wonder what the hell I was thinking. I'm not cut out for this, I hate it, everyone hates me, I can't do the work, I'm going to screw up someone's child, etc

i think you should weight the pros and cons of both schools.* that can give you a reasonable idea of which is the better place for you. but, ultimately, you should go someplace that challenges you and makes you happy.

i hope you know that you're going to be brilliant wherever you go.
