Would anyone be interested in a challenge to maybe kill time for the rest of the hiatus?
If so, click under the cut for rules and instructions.
Rules, etc:
1. Word Count: At least 700 words. No limit.
2. Deadline: November 2nd. Post whenever you want.
3. Rating: Who cares? Just mark it for the kidlets.
4. Requirements: Um, let me know so I can link them on a main post on November 2nd? Any fandom, any characters, AU welcome - whatev.
5. Etc: You can play as much as you want. But if you take a prompt, please post a story or at least let me know that you aren't going to write it so I can glare at you.
Instructions:
1. Comment to this post. Let me know what kind of prompt you want.
2. Types of prompts are:
a. Visual. You will be given two pictures randomly selected. Choose one to write your fic.
b. Word prompt. You will be given three randomly assigned words. Use these words to write your fic. (example: Sun. Cradle. Hushed.)
c. First line prompt. You will be given a phrase that is the beginning of your fic. (example: "It was so old, I thought it would crumble ...")
d. Lyrical. You will be sent a song and should use that to inspire your fic. You don't have to use the words, it's just for inspiration, but feel free.
3. When you are done, comment to this post (I will link it on my userinfo for future reference) because I will make a post on November 2nd with a compiled link to all the fic.
Feel free to pimp this challenge at will if you so feel like it. It hopefully will only net more fic in the end.
There can never be enough fic. I write but I love to read fic, too. And my appetite is ravenous for some fic right now. The flist is quiet with RL and fandomy woes and I really need some fic to munch on.
I told monnie44 that I would go on fic-writing strike if she didn't play with me. Help fight writer's block and keep the fic alive!
