I wouldn't imagine it will have an immediate impact. The Drilling technology needed to access the reserve is still new, and expensive. And then oil companies have to buy up the land to drill. I'd say in 2-3 years, we'll probably be drilling it like crazy. So, medium-term, it's better news than it is in the short term.
Interesting... but undrillable stuff has been the story of a lot of US oil. Alaska anyone? I believe it's a similar story of being hard to refine (rock filled) until prices get high enough to justify the cost.
