I went back out to the apartment today with my surrogate mom, Sheila, and it's awesome. She was in love with it instantly! I like it even more now than I did yesterday. The landlord is going to pull the ad out of the paper, and I'm going to meet him over there, with Dad, next Sunday to I guess seal the deal. And it's above a gym! I can wake up ( Read more... )

1. Alternate routes are exactly what you're supposed to look for. Not necessarily shortcuts but paths that can open up possibilities. Keep your eyes open and don't be too narrow-minded and new worlds will open.
2. I truly hope you aren’t disappointed in your search.

My one complaint with LJ is that the only way you know who's replied to your post is if they're a registered member, or if they tell you in the comment. So, whoever wrote this encouraging comment, please let me know so that I may thank you! :)

In regards to the not being disappointed in my "search," I don't think I can be. It's not possible. God has a plan for my life - something incredibly awesome and amazing - so how could I be disappointed?!

One thing I've learned over and over is that not only can you not see around the next curve, but a lot of times in life you can't even see the curve until the last minute when you pass that 25mph recommended speed limit sign at 80mph. Sometimes you just gotta downshift, hold on tight, and powerslide that baby right on through. Seriously, though, just hold on and one day that huge curve leading you to the next phase will jump up in front of you. If we all knew God's plans for our life up front, I don't think we'd be very happy. It's the journey that's the interesting part, right? ;) I would seriously like to know when the curve leading us back East is going to jump up and bite us, but I'll just have to wait! 'Til then, you know me, 80mph down the straightaway :)
