I'm actually not reading anything at all at the moment, since I just finished the third Kate Daniels book, but I'm on the brink of starting with the fourth, Magic Bleeds by Ilona Andrews.
I've been waiting to read this for a long time, and although I first wanted to plunge in right away, I finally decided to reread the prequels before that. I have read better books - in the same genre, too - and sometimes, I find myself stumbling over the odd cliché that makes some people tut at you for reading Urban Fantasy, but frankly- who cares? I think that reading for pleasure involves telling that voice in your head to shut up, enjoying something despite of the fact that you can't piece the plot together logically all the time (at least I can't, which is something that happens to me a lot of the time when I read in English and in the evenings, too). Because there is a whole lot to enjoy in these books. The banter, for example. The dynamics. Ah, the one-liners. They're definitely worth it.
