Amazing story! I loved every chapter. Just kept wishing Ianto and his Da could find a way to connect and was so glad that you found a way for them to make peace with each other at the end. Jack was wonderful and caring and if I had been Ianto, I would have shot John somewhere else... a little castration by gunshot would have been totally appropriate after all the shit he put Ianto through.

This was great. I always love reading about Ianto's past. I really felt bad for Iestyn... he's such a tragic figure. I was glad Ianto got a moment to set things right though, even if his younger self doesn't yet realize it.

Man I went through a roller coaster of emotions while reading! I'm almost upset Ianto didn't shoot John in the chest or something far more fatal than a kneecap. Ah well. I'm so glad Jack made it all better though.

I love your Jack and Ianto... the end of this chapter made everything better. :D I can't wait to read more of your stories!

I love writing about Ianto's past. He's a fascinating character and it's a joy to discover what could have made him the way he is.

Yes, Iestyn is a really tragic figure - losing his wife like that and struggling with his children. He loved his family but didn't know how to be better than he was. Older Ianto needed that moment. I don't know if younger Ianto could have been as open with him. It was a moment of closure for Ianto.

I was tempted to have him shoot John more fatally but I try to keep within canon (until COE of course!)

I'm really glad everything worked out in the end. Also, that Ianto remembers Jack being there and looking after him over the years. I've never gotten into the BDSM scene and spanking, punishment and needing/enjoying pain is a major squick with me. There are a few stories I've read that I've enjoyed in spite of those elements being included. However, it needs to be a very well written story with an intriguing plot to keep me reading. This has been one such story. Well done. I very much look forward to seeing what you come up with next.

Oh my! Feel a bit emotionally drained right now. Read through the last ten chapters all in one go.

What a perfectly fantastic story. On every level.

The way you write, the words you choose and how you frase things, it´s so beautiful. So poetic.

And the plot, Ianto in his teens, evil John Hart and Jack/Ianto travelling back in time, the whole thing is just such a unique idea!

And then the psychology-bit, about a persons need or want to be physically punished and how it can make him feel better, it is so insightful and delicatly handled.

I am just in total awe! These three stories about Ianto´s background is the best fan-fiction I have ever read.
