Yeah, they have a short menu but they do try to make every item count. The whole concept seems to be "simplify".
It seems that just about any wine you get in any restaurant is double the price you can get it at the LCBO (when you go by the bottle - more by the glass). Not sure if that's a "captive audience" issue, or a "licensing costs a lot" issue or what. So: ordinary wines for exotic prices... like everyone else".

I think it`s the captive audience thing - I see the same result pretty much world-wide. Certainly in some countries the restaurant price is much more reasonable, but I never checked to see what was the restaurant-to-street ratio.
I`ll be in southern Italy for the next month, so I`ll check that point.

Tell me - I don't know from the names on the wine list - do they sell only exotic wines, or do they sell ordinary wines for exotic prices?
