I am currently traveling with an individual known as Red, who is quite the companion and an extremely good conversationalist, when he can be bothered to speak. We have found ourselves in a place known as Manitoba, which is part of a large world named Canada. It is extremely busy here; there are lights all over the place. It's really quite ( Read more... )

The hat is filthy. You should wash it once in a while. Especially since I can only carry it in my mouth...

Sadly, the hat can only be washed in a particular way, otherwise it will either grow smaller or an evil spirit will emerge and kill us all. I have not yet figured out which it is. ♥

You could always carry it on your head as would normally be expected.

or an evil spirit will emerge and kill us all

...If that's the case, why do you wear the thing in the first place?

I have enough mane accessories of my own, thank you.

Well, wearing the hat on one's head placates the evil spirit, and the last thing I want is for the potential evil spirit to be released unto Manitoba, Canada. There are far too many interesting things here! (Speaking of which, you really must try this Beaver Tail contraption. It's the tail of an animal, but it tastes like fried bread!)

And they flatter you quite nicely.

Father, isn't the hat the family heirloom? I hope Mr. Nanaki doesn't give you too much trouble.

...and it's one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. It's...truly stunning.

Yes, it is a family heirloom. I have tried to explain this to Red time and time again, but he ignores me entirely. He either disagrees or thinks it is an heirloom not worthy of our family. Perhaps he would like to take it for himself and adopt it as his own family heirloom? I will have to ask him about that in short order.

In the meantime, I have discovered a wonderful culinary treat! They are called "Beaver Tails," and from what I can tell they consist of the tail of an animal known as a beaver and a great deal of sugar. The tail tastes like fried bread. I wonder what the rest of the animal tastes like?

It lives up to the stories, then? ♥

My courage and my pride are my family heirlooms.

Someday, I will be a great warrior like my father was...

Hello...sir.

You might have heard about me from Yuna; I'm Tidus...Jecht's son.

I...well, I had already asked Auron, but seeing as you're here...

I'm...well, my intention is...I was going to ask Yuna to marry me.

Hello, Jecht's son Tidus. It is a pleasure to at least meet your acquaintance; your father has said a great about you. I'm afraid not all of it was flattering, although it was obvious that he cared a great deal for you.

Ah, Yuna told me not to speak overly much of your father to you. I hope you will forgive that of me; I have a tendency to dwell on old stories rather than forge new ones.

...
...
...erm.

I am completely not old enough to be asked this question. (Is Yuna old enough? It has been quite a long time since I last saw her; how old is she now? Nearly my age, I believe. Hm.)

I, well, hm.

Perhaps you should wait and ask this of me again once we meet face to face? I do believe that would be proper etiquette, although believe me when I say that I understand your desire for an immediate answer.

He's my old man, but he was never around to raise me. Auron was around more often than he was.

Yuna...she's the only one that holds me here. I can't lose her.

I see. So Auron kept his promise to your father, then; that's good; that does put a few points in your favor.

Being raised by Jecht would not be too terrible a thing. He did have some rather devastating habits, yes, but he was mostly an honorable man. I chose him as a gaurdian for reasons besides his stories after all.

You seem to hold my daughter in high regard, Tidus, and although she has not yet addressed me concerning you, I do get the feeling that she returns this high esteem. I have also heard tell that you helped her a great deal in defeating Sin, despite your own personal and circumstantial tragedies. That does say a great deal for your character.

I will consider it; I would feel more confident in answering your question if I had the chance to meet you at least once in person, however. Perhaps that is still a possibility.

I am indeed Yuna's father; it is a pleasure to meet all her friends, of course.

Where are you? Red and I are in a world called 'Canada'.
