hey hey thanx for the mail and the update. It will be interesting to see if the Cohens can really help him and change there ways. But reading about Seth and the things that Oliver said, I cant imagine Ryan ever forgiving Seth. I know I wouldnt.

I just have on tiny critiscm:The doctors give him liquid supplements with a tube in his nose.... nose tubes are only for oxygen. Food and liquid supplements only go directly into a blood vessel.. at least here in the hospital I work in

You're welcome! Thanks for your comment! In canon, Seth isn't always the most careful and nice foster-brother, but Ryan always forgives him, so...
I was thinking about the feeding tube anorexic patient get (the feeding tube that go in the nose and in the stomach, in France, it's called "naso-gastric tube"). Sometimes in documentaries, we can see young girls with such a tube and a chalky liquid is in it, going straight to their nose to their stomach. I don't know if such tubes actually exist in the US!

oh that kind of tube you mean. I c. I dont know about the US since I am not from there either, but I am sure they have it there too. We here just dont call it tube. (obviosily, since we dont speak english ;-) But we have two different kinds of "tubes". The one we call tube always goes to the lung or to the direction of the lung. We different that from "tubes" that go to the stomach or from the brain. A tube for us is inserted into the nose for oxygen and only partly inserted. We used to do the naso-gastric "tube" as well, but pretty much stopped a couple years back. The risk that it has not passed through the windpipe and down into the lungs is too big (especially since we are a teaching hospital)and it is extremly uncomfortable, so for people who need vitamin or liquid supplement we use the blood vessels. But we still use the NG "tube" for Nasogastric aspiration (suction) - to drain the stomach's contents via the "tube", especially to drain the swallowed air in patients with gastrointestinal obstructions. But most of the time we go ( ... )

Thanks for the explaination! I am so not in the medical domain, so I don't have much knowledges about it!
I didn't realize that you were german! Where are you from? I used to study german at school (I'm ashamed to reveal that I've been studying it for 10 years and now, I'm unable to have a conversation in german) and went to Germany twice (Schwartzwald, near Freiburg and Berlin).

-“Ryan, sweetie, there is no hurry to go to college. I know Sandy was excited about you going to college next year, but you’re 16 and if you ask me I’d like to keep both of my sons close to me for at least a couple of years.” very much like that you gave Kirsten the right words

perfectionism is a real bitch, isn't it?

I like motherly Kirsten (end of season 1, beginning of season 2!)
Perfectionnism + fear of being abandonned if not perfect = disaster!

Yep, Marissa is a spoilt selfish girl. It's not totally AU, I guess!
I haven't finished the story yet. Honestly I don't know how long I'm going to write it because I've got ideas that just came out from nowhere and I decide to write more than I usually thought. So don't worry, there are more chapters left!
I've always loved Ryan/Sandy's moments and Kirsten/Ryan's ones. There were a few of them, but all were great, so in my fanfics, I try to insert lots of them!
