This was particularly sweet in the best way possible. I love how much joy Ryan takes in the smallest, most everyday things, although it's so sad that he does: it really emphasizes how awful his own homelife had been. My favorite part was how much the phrase "next year" delighted Ryan and how much it reassured him. Such a great detail.

Thanks for commenting! I used to learn german in highschool, I graduate as fluent in german and now, I'm totally unabble to speak a single sentence in german...I'm note sure highschool can really teach foreign languages to students! (but Tv shows and books do!)

You send me the first version for this chapter (which was still pretty different from this version) which went longer than this chapter, so I guess in a way I have one version of the end. But I'm sure with the changes you did for this chapter, the rest will be different as well.
