Yes, Emma had figured out what was going on, because she never got this many calls; all the people who knew her, texted her. Also? Telepath. When everyone else on the whole island is confused, you tend to notice.
That didn't mean she wasn't calling people back, because that would be silly. Emma was a fairly terrible person, and wanted to see how long this game of telephone would go on.
