They are a hassle lol. Sometimes I worry that I'm just going to feel this way about dating forever -- completely apathetic.

I worry too sometimes, that I'm gonna be so focused on what I'm doing that I forget to have a life. Then I realize that if it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen. If someone perfect walks into my life tomorrow, great, if not, that's great too. I'm not going looking for it though. I just don't have the energy

I got a ton of chocolate from friends, so I ate enough to release those endorphines. Almost like a boyfriend, only you don't have any of the rest of the *stuff* to deal with! Glad you had a nice dinner and dessert!

Valentine's Day is an over-rated holiday anyway. It's a chick holiday and inevitably we end up upset in one way or another because our expectations were too high and the guy failed to deliver. I think it might be best to go into these things not expecting anything and then being pleasantly surprised.

True that. The last four V. Days were spent with a bf, he's gone now and I was fine with it. It's a commercial endeavour designed to make people spend money, not unlike most holidays now. If it were about the feeling and not the $$$, maybe I wouldn't be so cynical.
