Guess where I went last Monday? My best friend Elizabeth and I flew to Orlando, Florida, and went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!! Yes, we did, we did!! We did have a great time! I wish you could've been there with us. And there were LOTS of things I totally wanted. I wanted to get everybody I know Gryffindor Prefect badges, but they were $8 apiece. If we'd been there one more day I probably would've done it, lol.

Mommy brain struck and I TOTALLY forgot you went! (And thank you for mentioning this post in your email, as LJ is being stupid and didn't actually show it on my f-list!) Awesome picspam/commentary. Normally when we go to Florida we don't venture off the Disney property, but we're totally going to have to book an extra day next time and make the long bus trek over to Universal to see Hogwarts. Doesn't all the snow on the rooftops make you feel a little cooler? ;) And you were totally cute in your Gryffindor tie! Wish I could have gone with you and geeked out!!

Also, Baby Brat? He doesn't look like a baby anymore. You're going to have to call him Little Man Brat!

I think LJ screwed up my post, because I started composing this on September 29, so it may not have appeared as "new" business on your Friends page. I've posted this twice now, because I think there are more people who might be interested in seeing some pictures of the theme park.

And yes, you totally need to make a run over to Harry Potter world! You'd love it. It has revived my interest in the fandom, and I may actually finally finish my epic Remus Hogwarts-era piece. Whoa. :D

SO glad you owled as LJ is obviously obliterating essential stuff and this didn't appear on my f-list till I searched. And I'd have hated to miss this as I have poured over these photos and the wonderful commentary like a true and rather envious fangirl! It looks and sounds as if you both had a fantastic time, and I may have to arm wrestle you and Baby Brat for those T-shirts. ;) I love the Cauldron Cakes, the sign in the Three Broomsticks and, for some worrying reason, even the U-No-Poo!

Baby Brat is growing up so fast! Still, if not more, adorable though.:D

I'm so glad you liked seeing the photos. I could have taken a thousand more ... and I wish I had, inside Hogwarts! *sigh* Live and learn. We'll have to go together next time and take our cameras into Hogwarts to get all the best photos I missed this time around! I meant to mention that some staff did English accents, but most didn't. I really appreciated the ones who did. For the total immersion experience. :D

Okay, my comment is probably too late already but I just wanted to say how happy I am for you that you went. It looks like an amazing place and even though I'm not a hardcore fan, it's still a place I wanna visit. :D
