I took a nap today at 4:30pm. Woke up three hours later... but for some reason, I was convinced that it was 5am. Kind of trippy to find out that it was still the night before... ahh, time travel. Things are picking up a little here. Had the 1st performance (of 4) today. Brahms Piano Quintet in f minor. Good stuff. Didn't go quite as well as I had hoped, but I'm sure next week will go better. Nothing like being stuck in the middle of NOWHERE, CA to make you practice. Brahms Op. 34 Piano Quintet this week, next week is the string quintet (op. 88). But my GOD. Nothing to do. Nowhere to go. Viola anyone?

Back in town after a long year of schooling... things are going alright. Slightly stressful job, but it's nice to see family again. Taking a break from the viola because my wrist has been hurting (again.) It gave me a chance to dabble in the visual arts again... got out my acrylics and my ink and let loose. Ah, summer hobbies. Today was nice, a little stressful but ok. Glad to get the Kegelstatt rehearsal done (it went VERY well) and ready for the concert on Friday. Performance of the composer's piece tomorrow and the Mozart on Friday... two performances that I can check off my list. Woohoo. I'm just glad everything is finally coming together.
