Still apartment hunting, which is about as fun as having a let's-see-who-can-get-the-most-lead-paint-under-their-fingernails contest. Blargh. So have I been right in my assumption that Chile is the most "European" of South American countries, because I've heard it about Argentina too?

Well... having only been to one other South American countries, I don't really know for sure. I've heard that about Uruguay too (or at least Montevideo). If, by European, you mean lots of women who can walk 9 blocks in stilettos, sidewalk cafes, chain-smokers, good public transit and an air of haughtiness... then, yes?? :)

On the other hand, there are a lot of evangelicals, I'm not uber-impressed with the food, socialism and homosexuality are bad words here, and I saw two people peeing inside the subway just in the last 48 hours. So... I don't know. Maybe Europe Continental-American-Style.
