Whoa, what stations made you job offers?? Grand Marais is pretty much a beautiful town and I enjoyed the AMPERS meeting there 3 years ago. The Current had just started up at the time, and it was basically regarded as the faceless evil (the WCAL saga shaped opinions in no small part) but when we were out at the bars at night, people kind of whispered to each other that they thought the Current was a pretty good station. Anyway, I'm really pleased that things went well and I hope things work out with these stations you got job offers from.

WTIP Grand Marais, KAXE Grand Rapids, and KFAI St. Paul all asked for my resume and said they would look for a place to put me. Also, Pioneer 90.1 in Thief River Falls (managed by the great Travis Ryder) has a morning host position opening up in the near future that I've been encouraged to apply for. I'm still not sure how things will shape out, but I feel like I made a few friends and kept KUMM on the radar, so I'm happy. There were whispers that they might offer us full membership at some point!
