After looking over the admissions page for The Columbia School of Journalism, finding a dual-degree program where I would spend a year in Paris, and generally confirming that it is my dream school, I have a list of goals for the next "semester" (is it weird that I still think of time that way?):

If you have any experience with any desktop publishing software, InDesign will be super easy to learn. It's like the love child of PageMaker and QuarkXpress. (With more PageMaker traits.)

Columbia is top on my list for journalism grad schools. If you hold off going there for a year, perhaps we could hang out in the Big Apple together?

We should work on that, then. It looks like they have a couple dual degree programs that I might be interested in, too. Not the NYC-Paris one, naturally, but the Journalism and MBA/Religion/International and Public Affairs programs all look appealing.

I should feel a little sheepish about following in another friend's footsteps, but the footsteps being yours, I don't so much mind.
