Ah the joys of complex living

So we live in a fairly large apartment complex. Somewhere around 650 apartments or something like that. It's really not a bad place for the most part, some maintenance issues (they are way understaffed for 650 apts) some wanna-be ghetto thug teenagers, whatever, but nothing major ( Read more... )

I have given my notice... and my new landlords have called to verify what ever, and I am still getting those letters... Let me think really hard about this... $200 off one months rent and track light but I get to keep the $230+ heating bill, the cold breeze blowing through in the winter time, the rude and noisy upstairs neighbors, the guy who does a half ass job shoveling the side walk, and proceeds to throw it on my brand new car, the retard who drives the golfcart in front of every car going down the parking lot... getting called racial slurs in the laundrymatt ... and all the other wonderfull stuff.... Let me think really hard on all of this.... *tea timer doesnt even ding* ok, I think I thought hard enough...

lol, so they keep coming even after giving notice? Jesus they are thick. Oh yeah, and I'm not convinced that idiot in the golf cart speaks english. I walked in behind him while he was coming in to put said notice on the door and I said it was my apartment and he just kind of grunted, stuck it on the door and walked upstairs to put more on other doors. The windows drive me batty, I still cant believe the maintenance guy told me it was normal for water to come in at the seams when it rains. And shoveling? Ha! I dont think they even pretend over here, they do the path from the door to the parking lot, but not the sidewalk that actually runs parallel to the buildings.

Yeah, Im going to stay here in this mold infested ghetto, when I could be living in my gorgeous, brand new construction, with jucuzzi place that is so quiet and warm? I think they are hopefull if they push enough I will give in and stay. I mean, track lighting, that is so worth it right? (my new dining room has track lighting in it).

The guy with the golf cart, I think he is actually retarded legally.

I had the maintenence guy tell me it is normal that my patio door only opens part way now...

I would totally believe that he is legally retarded. And I am pretty sure most of the maintenance department might as well be

hehe, be happy, be veeeeeeery happy. They have a program where if you refer somebody to move in you get $500... I personally say the $500 is not worth the guilt of recommending somebody lives here :P
