so out of 82 students who were given the assignment to write me a letter, address an envelope and send it within two weeks of the assignment date, 35 students chose not to.  so tomorrow they will sit in the computer lab and write letters to me while others are doing fun holiday research... it's not that upsetting now that i know i can make them do

Damn, Robyn. I'm sorry that you're having to see this crap firsthand. That has to suck. I agree with everything that you wrote, though, and, I don't think I could teach...for those very reasons. You are so right...it's completely backwards.

And, tortilla soup sounds so good right now...hmmm...I think there's a box downstairs...I know it won't be as good as yours, but, it might be good enough.

I'm so looking forward to Saturday. Are you going to be in Lancaster or am I meeting you somewhere else? Am I staying in Lancaster Saturday night or Rock Hill? And, please be sure to let me know if you change your mind...I mean, I really want to hang, but, if you just want it to be the group of you guys, that's cool, too.
