Ev just got rid of a black widow spider we had in the yard. Those buggers are freaky looking. All big and black with red on them. Apparently she layed eggs...Ev found another little one ( Read more... )

Wait why did you return one rat only to get another? What if the new rat doesn't get along with your others? Was separating Moose not an option?

Rats are pack animals and do best if there are several. Even numers are best so one never (theoretically) gets left out; four is ideal. All packs have a dominant/alpha rat, and that's what Boo is. The one we returned was a baby when we got her, but as she grew up, she seemed to become an alpha and was vying for the spot with Boo. We got another, but she's a baby; although it didn't work last time, there are less likely to be dominance issues if a new rat is a baby when it's introduced ( ... )
