Yesterday I decided that I'm going to take a hiatus from smoking pot and drinking alcohol. I'm quitting the former partly because I'm scared of the possibility of getting drug tested for my internship (I have to undergo a federal security background check, though I have no idea if a drug test is entailed), but I'm taking a break from both mostly

Hiatuses (hiates?) are always good. I take them now and then. In '06 I stopped smoking pot and that went for two years, then I started up again for about 6 months, and I stopped again a month ago. It feels good when you'r ein control and you do it when you're ready.
