Suprised by Yotsuba

So I have to admit, when I first heard of Yotsuba&, it didn't really stir any interest. Mostly because when I saw this:

Just wait til we start watching Honey and Clover. Oh, the random hilarity! Speaking of which, ever seen Galaxy Angel? It's in my Netflix queue now. I know Nick said he had a great time with it and I loved the few episodes I've seen, but I haven't seen very much.

Also in my queue: Card Captor Sakura, Sasami, NaNa Seven of Seven, Origin: Spirits of the Past, Nurse Witch Kogami, and Angelic Layer. I also really want to see Saint Seiya and Saint Tail (isn't it weird neither of them are saints in the traditional sense, and they are totally unrelated to each other?).

Are you going to watch more Gundam?

As for me, I took a break from my DBZ watching and had Netflix send me Big Fish --now I know why people like that movie so much and am wondering why it took me so long to see it. It was nice to have a break from anime.
Next, I am receiving DBZ season 4. This is getting so dang long that I think I may take UC up on his recommendation of the manga instead...

I'm glad that you have Nick to help keep you on track. That is the key to the success of any health program.
I bought some Boca burgers last night and it was suprisingly good. And almost 50% less fat. I may have just been converted...

I actually didn't really like Big Fish, despite the Ewan MacGregor factor.

I've found that male support with fitness can be a bit of a tricky thing. Nick soemtimes crosses the line from tough love to just plain tough, bless him, but I know he means well.

Auuuggghhh Big Fish is my favorite movie!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

And Ashley, I'm glad you're liking Yotsuba&! It's genuinely funny and so adorable. XD I still haven't seen all of Azumanga Daioh, though I've mostly enjoyed what I have seen. That said, I still love Yotsuba& so much more! XD

I've been toying with a project for a while that you might find interesting. I'm thinking about making a scale to weigh yourself on, that --ready?-- connects to Twitter.

Yup, you'd make an account, and the scale would tweet changes in your weight, or that you've avoided weighing yourself for a while. The idea is that if you're afraid that the scale will blab to the whole of the internet that you're avoiding your goals or that you've gained weight, you're more likely to stick with your diet.

Likewise, if you DO lose weight, it's not you bragging about it. It's your scale, that's just what it does. what do you think? I was thinking about calling it "Tweighter" but that's just because my default project name is a portmanteau of sorts.
