This week could be awesome, or....
...pretty crappy
1. I went to speak to our apartment office today about renewing our lease (which we conveniently remember is up by the 31st yesterday), but they tell me that they aren't renewing ANY leases. I have to go back and talk to them tomorrow, but I suspect they will want us to move to a different section of the complex. Not only would that suck to update all our mail (I get 2 magazines a month!) but we don't have the car power to move the large furniture. And I bet they won't rent us a truck either.
2. I have a meeting with my boss, the Dean, on Thursday morning. I told him I want to talk about my future with the College. I love working for the College, I really do, but working part-time SUUUUUUUCKS. I can't take it any more. I'm kinda nervous, though. I've had a lot more negative meetings with him than the average employee, which I'm not sure bodes well for me. I guess the truth is I've had a lot of cross-roads in my "career" this past year and I haven't always made the wisest choices. I just want to navigate this with grace and honesty, and maybe even charm my way into a full-time position.
3. We're driving to Kansas this weekend for a family wedding. And we're staying with Nick's parents. Please, please Lord let nothing awkward ensue!
