Our 5- and 10-year reunions were sparsely attended. There were 415 people in my class and I think maybe 50 (including spouses) attended the 10-year reunion. The guy at the hotel said it was pretty common for bigger classes to have less turnout because of the relative annonymity, but that smaller schools usually had a higher percentage participation.
I was not a class officer (not for a lack of trying). At the 10-year reunion our class president asked if I wanted to be in charge of the next reunion. I simply told her no. I really wanted to say, "Hell no, you people chose not to elect me, I'm not doing your job."
I'm hoping that our next reunion is better. Like you said, Myspace and Facebook will make it easier to track people down. I did try to help Holly locate people on Myspace for the last reunion but it was too late. Good luck, though.
At least it wasn't a bad as you thought. And I'd be more than willing to help you with your website or at least loan you tons of HTML/CSS coding information I have. :)
I was on my honeymoon when my 10 year reunion happened. I rel=ally wished I could have made it home from my honeymoon in time to make it......but then again I had WAY more fun on my honeymoon than I ever could have at the reunion. How's your life going? Hopefully you are happy and healthy.
