Last month in Brazil, I befriended  Rafael, who plays lead guitar for the Christian group called "Band Tenda". Rafael was a big encouragement because his grasp of spoken English was better than most of the native Brasilians in the City of Niteroi. My first time in South America. Even with the drug lords and the local violence within the favelas (povrety sticken slums), it is still a beautiful country. Lots of rolling land, bountiful fruits, meats and seafood, white beaches, cold ocean waters, genuinely friendly people, beautiful women, a laid-back lifestyle, and (at least in the churches we worked with) sincere God-fearing believers who are eager to learn from and follow the Holy Spirit.

Needless to say, there are numerous evidences of God at work. I was blessed to be able to spend 10 days there. Given the opportunity, I would like to visit Brazil (they say Brasil) again.
