Busy, But Awesome, Day!
So I went into Midgar today to help Wuya get this box Rufus was keeping safe at the former ShinRa HQ. She needed it for somethin' I probably shouldn't say 'cause it was about her age, and the last time I said something about a girl's age she kicked me in the you-know-whats. But it had to do with Shengong-Wonton-Kung Pao chicken or whatever name her powers have, which she couldn't use 'cause she's hurtin' real bad from her Geostigma. The elevator didn't work, so we had to climb up the shaft, where I found an Enemy Skill Materia. But that wasn't the REALLY awesome part. We ran into this thing that was maybe the awesomest thing I've seen in a while! It was a plant-thing, only it had a bug's face and a lizard's body and tail and a big lump on its back that kept popping popcorn (yeah, I don't know either). It blocked our way in the elevator shaft, but we managed to dodge it and get to where we needed to go. Wuya went after the box while I took on the Popcorn Thing. And let me tell you, it was the awesomest battle I've fought in a while. That thing was SMART. It kept the Creepers un-solid with tail sweeps, and it had this attack where it took the heat it was using to pop the popcorn and breathed it on us. MAN did that hurt. And I was Speed Boosting around it to catch it off guard, but near the end, when it was on its last legs, it figured me out and tail-swatted me just as I sped around behind it. That sent me into a wall and broke my arm! Then it blasted me with the really hot air, and I was really hurtin'. But then the Enemy Skill Materia glowed--it'd learned the hot-air blast! So I blasted the Popcorn Thing back, and all the plant stuff on its outside died and it couldn't move anymore. So I gave it a big ol' punch in the face and it went sailing down the elevator shaft! BAM! That's what you get for messing with the best!
Then I looked around for Wuya, but she was gone. I hope she found her Mushu Pork box. (Dammit, now I'm hungry for Wutai food. Onii-san, Yazoo, what do you want from...uh...*looks at take-out menu* "Big Wang's Oriental Cuisine"?) Wuya! If you're reading this, comment and tell me if you made it back all right and how Rufus's doing.
And now I've got a broken arm and I need a new outfit. The arm'll mend in a few hours, though--thank you, Kaa-san--and I've got maybe 12 of the same outfits in my closet, so I'll be fine.
Oh, and I came home to find out that Yazoo got his memory back! And he wants to help us beat up our brother for betraying Kaa-san! Yep, like I said, today was the awesomest day I've had in a while. So, yeah, I'm really psyched right now. I'm gonna go celebrate with some rock-smashing! And then Wutai food. See you later, and if you've got Geostigma, hang in there! Colette's on the way!
Edit-thing: Rest in peace, Rufus ShinRa. You only had my grudging respect, but it was still respect.
