Bike #2
Looks like I'm starting to get serious on cycling. Been doing longer rides on my tried and true hybrid bike (+40 miles rides), with my latest accomplishment being a metric century. Figure it's about time to consider an upgrade if I am to realistically attempt an imperial century ride. While there is clearly a difference between the new road bike and my hybrid in terms of performance, I did NOT expect it to be such a massive difference. Next step... Getting some cycling wear and possibly some hand me down accessories from my cycling buddies.
Still plan on keeping my hybrid around as a machine to use for more public rides and such. Going to be interesting to see what moving towards a road bike offers. One of the upcoming weekends I'll need to do a ride from San Francisco to Tiburon to see how much easier is versus my previous attempts.
