I know there's no going back

But I'm still going to try.

I may be like Susan, looking for a way back into Narnia, too little and too late.

Or I may be like Sarah, and find out the world of magic is still there, should I need it.

Fandom, are you still out there somewhere?

Will you take me back?

I'm still here, though not writing much Good Omens these days. Still around though!

I'm so glad. There were so many wonderful people, and I feel like so many of them have gone now. I'm pleased to see you aren't, even if I have been.

(What are you writing now, out of curiousity? I always was so in awe of your writing, whatever the fandom.)

Recently I've been writing Hetalia fic, often about mediaeval/early-modern Poland and Lithuania, or America and Lithuania in the 1920s (the characters are anthropomorphic personifications of countries), and I've written a lot of Weiss Kreuz (florists by day, assassins by night (the goodies) and psychic assassins (the baddies - whom I've written more of)). My fic output has fallen way down, though, because I became seriously ill with lung problems and have had very little energy over the last couple of years. It's slowly improving though, which is great!

Yikes! I'm glad to hear you're on the mend, though I know things like that certainly take time. I've heard of both Hetalia and Weiss Kreuz but am not super familiar with either...but then again, it wouldn't be the first time I'd read fic for a fandom I didn't know. :D I'll have to cruise by when I get some reading time this week!

Silly! Of course fandom is here! We might not all be in the same exact fandoms but "Fandom" is still alive and well. :) Where've you BEEN, girl?

Near in body, far in heart. <3

I've just been rewatching the Lord of the rings movies (my first fandom), and also reading old journal entries (for unrelated reasons), and all I can think is, why did I go away?

I miss the old LOTR fandom too, back when everything was new and shiny and exciting... I'm hoping the Hobbit films will bring some of that back!

Me too! I mean, I know I'm as responsible as anyone, cos I left too. But I'm ready to come back, really truly.

I feel the same! I was in fandom for so so long and could change or move along with it, but then a combination of things in the past few years sent me to the edges of fandom and then just out of it altogether. And now I really miss it and want to get back to that place, but I feel like I've lost the way.

That is exactly it.

Okay, whoever finds the wardrobe first has to tell the other, deal? :D
