Some time over night Saturday night some heartless bastard dumped 3 kittens in the ditch out front of mom's house.... This has been happening every now and again since I was a kid.... It still sucks but.... what can you do ( Read more... )

So been there, and yeah, it sucks!

Still remember the girls bringing in a box... just 3 but really really full of fleas, spent a considerable amount of time ridding the house, and family pets, of these things! Thank goodness for that great stuff the vet gave us.

Don't get it either, not even when I worked for the SPCA (high burn-out job that!). You would come into work to find something new on the doorstep in a box... couldn't even take the time to bring them in to make sure they were safe? Then there are the boxes, or bags, people would leave on the highway... sometimes not even bothering to stop the car... those are the worst!

I could so easily become one of those people with 100 cats. I am such a softy that I would want to take them all home and treat them special and give them all the love they need. Unfortunately, I am only allowed to have one kitten and I've already spoken for him. It's heartbreaking to think that these little babies are out in the world in this cold with no one to look after them.

As of this morning all 3 demons have been captured and placed in a good home together. It turns out that they had curled up in the open toolbox of an uncle's 4 wheeler and got missplaced when he came to deal with the beaver dam. He retrieved all 3 this morning and returned them to their momma cat.
