With my grandparents now living here with us, we ended up not heading back to Brazil for Christmas this year. ...It was both comforting and disappointing in a way. Because they got to spend Christmas and New Years here with us in Yokohama, and I no longer have to worry about my grandparents everytime we come back to Japan. ...But then...I don't get ( Read more... )

...Akaya, you know with Otou-san's work troubles, that it was difficult enough just making the regular visits out there when we were younger. And after the cost of having to move my grandparents out here so we could take care of them, we really don't have the extra funds to spare to have all of us visit out there. And it defeats the purpose if we can't all go.

Danke, Jackal. And your family as well. Everyone was being so good to me. It is nice knowing that I am being so welcome and that I am not the only foreign one...though I know I feel it sometimes still.

And it is okay that I was not introduced. I heard some of the things that was being said about me. But because fo Krampus lerking...I could not be punching anyone...

Heh~ Here in Yokohama, the word "foreigner" seems a little redundant since there's so many of us here, so you really shouldn't feel like such an outsider, Liliadent. You're very much welcome here and by my family, and you're also one of us at Rikkai now as well. So you don't have to think like you're alone, because you're not.

...I get a feeling you probably would've ended up punching him if you did meet him, because unlike his kind-hearted and good-natured little brother and his loving mother, he's not a pleasant person to be around. In fact, he enjoys purposely upsetting others and I often find myself butting heads with him, even though I'm a relative. He doesn't care who he's bothering though. ...And with you...having the looks you've got, you would've been an extremely easy target for him. Though while he would've deserved it, I wouldn't have enjoyed watching my cousin get beat to within an inch of his life by you after he goads you into doing so. So for the good of everyone's sanity, it was just better to keep you two apart.
