It Ain't Easy Being Green

Last night as the DWTS was beginning, I ran to my car to get something. As I ran back in, something dark leaped in front of me. I thought it was the door stop I purchased, but when I got inside I saw that it was in the apartment. So I re-opened my garage door and looked down. It's too bad you couldn't have kept him as a pet (in the garage). I guess he might've baked otherwise. When I was at Oxford I had a pet bee who nightly came to rest on the same spot on my curtains. At first I was alarmed, but after a few days I realized she was not going to fly around in the middle of the night, land on my sheets, and sting me when I accidentally rolled over on her. I named her Maya, and she and I became good friends. I hadn't realized that until one night she didn't come home, and I realized I was lonely. I had established a nightly ritual whereby I discussed the events of my day, and asked Maya if she'd found any good flowers nearby. I never heard her answer, but I still felt close. I wish she hadn't been a bee, because then I might've pet her or something. Alas.

You'd be especially happy if you'd seen the bugs they have in the North. Yeesh. Cathy can attest to some of them being really really weird. Not quite Palmetto bug-esque, but still freaky nasty. Millipedes. Giant fly-type creatures. Man-eating spiders. Blech.

Its true. They are absolutely disgusting here. I was at a friend's house last night and we found a giant RED spider in her kitchen. Nasty!

I realize people always laugh at this but in the Korean culture having a frog or toad show up in front of your house is a sign that money will be coming in. It's a sort of prediction.

You know, I bet that frog was in your garage because he was trying to cool off from being in the hot sun, and then he's thinking, "OMGZ! This bitch keeps poking me with a fucking stick!"
