I am immensely  partial to the  Metal Gear series. Metal Gear Solid was  perhaps the first game I played that convinced  me that  video games could go beyond being cool and actually mature  into works of  inspiration and..well, love. It was also the game that redeemed  voice acting for  me, after some titles (Resident Evil
