Aya is of average size for a European girl and tall for a Japanese girl standing at 5'6''. She keeps her straight, black hair down past her shoulders, an ideal length for a runner. She's usually found in a white blouse and black dress that is a little on the short end but loose so her legs can move freely.

PERSONALITY:
Aya is curious. It's her default emotion towards others and she will constantly ask questions. The worst part is that she will almost never ask for clarification on shady answers. Instead, she'll try to connect the dots herself, making what she's learning all that much more interesting to read in a future newspaper article. Then again, if the clarification might seem more interesting than what she can divine, she may dive for it the first chance she gets.

Outside of that, it's difficult to pin down how Aya actually acts. She's very polite to others because pissing off your sources of information is always a bad habit to have. If someone finds being polite annoying, she'll swap her attitude to something more suitable. Her main concept here is to keep others pleased so they'll keep talking. The one person who better access to Aya's personality is Hatate. Around Hatate, Aya can be rude, arrogant, and dismissive of the girl. Getting in the way of a story will produce a similar effect from Aya and it's generally not recommended for one to stand in her way.

Aya will also use almost any means to achieve a satisfactory end. If a bit of wink, wink, nudge, nudge type of blackmail needs to come into play, she won't hesitate to use what she knows or what power she has at hand to influence the decision she needs. And what a glorious pile of information and knowledge she has at her access. Aya follows nearly every rumor she comes across to see it to a reasonable conclusion. In journalism, false information can ruin a reporter and that is not a ground she ever wants to cross. As such, her trusty camera and notebook are kept on her at all times. She also travels with a netbook with the wireless card removed for archival of information and to prepare her stories for the printing press.

As a person herself, Aya is very hardworking and doesn't want to be attached to her family name. Her abundance of energy does leave her very competitive and while she will not often challenge others to various things, she will accept challenges that come her way. Sports have also dug their way into her personal life so she does what she can to keep fit and trim. Her dedication and high energy level help to keep her fit and in shape along with her intelligence which keeps her grades up in school. As a matter of fact, if Aya was not known for her “slightly” intrusive stories, she would probably be extremely popular among the other students.

COMPUTER APTITUDE: Despite what Hatate may say, Aya is fairly decent with computers because she has to be. However, she rarely uses them for purposes outside the norm. She's no hacker but she knows how to properly defend private information so nosy people can't poke their way in. Simple usages of firewalls, long alphanumeric passwords, and friends in proper places keep her safe.

WEAKNESSES (OPTIONAL): Living in an isolated place in Japan left Aya dependent on wide open areas. If things become extremely cramped, she gets uncomfortable and will do what she can to avoid a situation of the sort.

AU HISTORY:
Aya was born into a very wealthy family which partially owned a company, Tag-Along Toys, that created children's toys for kids in America. Her and her family lived in a lavish house near a mountain and was never in want of anything. Then, in Aya's early childhood, there was a death in the company and her family inherited control, making her life even easier. But something about this relaxed lifestyle didn't sit to well with Aya. Not only that but she didn't want to inherit the company after her parents passed on. She didn't want to be known as that girl who mooched off her parents forever and was spoiled rotten.

So early in life, she decided to make a name for herself in another way. Being exposed to magazines like National Geographic made her want to take a shot at writing the best article in the world. Something that could change the face of the planet. She wanted the ever coveted Pulitzer Prize. In elementary school, she happened to meet Hatate and took an instant dislike to her. She also took joy in rubbing in Hatate's face that her parents donated money to Hatate's parent's political rivals. The two never really did get along...

Aya slowly began to get caught into the art of sensationalism and those who read her articles enjoyed it. Seeing this as a path to victory, she began to do it more and more until she practically became drunk on information. Rumor has it that Aya knows everything and she certainly did delve into whatever she could. Once middle school came around, she noticed her ability to run circles around others with great skill and dexterity. Soon enough, she joined Track Club and started using her position as a sports star to get more information.

She caused a lot of ruckus at home and her family wished for a child who would just sit back and inherit the family fortune. In hopes of getting Aya to calm down, they enrolled her into Reims Academy so she could experience life alone. Her family keeps her well supplied with money so she will rely on it and come home one day to ask her parents to take her back in. Unfortunately, Aya does not use that money for anything other than her newspaper.
