...five days 'til Christmas. Y'think they're gonna throw anything at us again? I mean, it's been ten years since I got here. Not that I'm complaining. Best ten years in my life, guys. But you'd think it'd at least be the 60's by now? Sheesh.

[Have a 23 year old Tiffany]

Well I certainly hope they don't. I'd be nice to have a normal holiday for once.

For once. But I don't think that's going to happen. At all.

I have to agree. The odds are rather against that.

[Have a sigh]

I've almost forgotten what it's like to celebrate my own holiday.

[assuming they cleared up the, I'm from another world thing in the 10 years]

...You know what? Maybe we should celebrate your holiday. It'll give us something different to do.

[He's probably already noticed that in the 10 years, Ai hasn't aged at all. Being dead and all at home tends to do that to you.]

Perhaps they will wait for the day of the holiday....before punishing us.

...Maybe. Usually they do it earlier. So they make us feel rotten. Or... rotten-er, anyway.

[[Some quick, weak laughter.]]

Yes, they are cruel like that.

Not that it matters in the end.

...You ever want to go home?

I think they will. Don't they always? Make sure you live through it, Allen.

Speaking of living, I've got another set of... "deliveries" for you, Jane. You wanna pick them up?

Ah. Thank you, Allen. ...Are you sure you are fine with this right now?

No, it's alright. Mind you, it's not fresh, it's been in the fridge for about three hours. But it'd start getting gross if I left it out...

It's been ten years already? Time sure goes by really fast sometimes I guess, huh? I wonder why everyone's so negative about it? The least we can do is make the best of it!

Remember that cake I tried to help you make when I first got here? Back before I knew that I couldn't remember anything about cooking?

[She's been thinking about making him a new hoodie, housewife-y skills are her forte after all. Would he mind getting one for Christmas?]

brbpouncingyou December 21 2009, 16:06:24 UTC
D-don't remind me about that cake. The house smelled horrible for days.

[[Even so, he laughs happily. There's a small hint of unhappiness, but this time it's more or less quite happy.]]

I guess we're all just so tired of living here for so long. Wouldn't you want to go home?

[[HE WOULD LOVE GETTING ONE FOR CHRISTMAS.]]

Maybe I'll bring another one by this year. Yet another to add to the pile to prove that I can make them properly again. [We'll assume it's become tradition.]

[That's okay. Nana's good at cheerfulness. She's more than happy to play pck me up whenever!]

I guess it might be nice, but I've gotten used to Mayfield. Sure it has it's bad times but it's not so hard to get used to in the end.

[Then consider this the year he gets one. Dark blue she'd imagine?]

Hey, hey! I can cook too! Maybe not as well as you can, but I can still kick it up it a notch rather well.

[[He can't cook as well as her, but...]]

...And I don't think I'll ever get used to Mayfield, Nana. Not ever.
