Dream WTF-ery

Feb 25, 2009 17:07

Okay. Last night? Epic weird dream of epicness. It's actually not the weirdest dream I've ever had, which is kind of sad, but it's out there.

So, it starts off with the two guys from The Forsaken, and Cass. Randomly. Or not randomly, because the actress who plays the girl in The Forsaken is Cass's PB, but still. Good job brain. And there's something wrong. They have some kind of mission or something, but I'm not sure what it is. Just that it's urgent and that if they don't get it done, lots of people in general will die and one of them in specific will die. Possibly more than one.

They're in this car, which is awesome, even though I'm not sure what kind of car it is. I just know it's awesome. And they're driving really, really fast, enough that I think someone's chasing them. And Cass keeps yelling at them to go faster, and then randomly there's another girl with them, someone who I think is Megs. And Cass and Megs (yay fandom and RL mixing?) are sitting in the backseat and keep looking over their shoulders at the people chasing them and freaking out.

And then it's not the two guys from The Forsaken anymore, it's some guy who I think is the Doctor from Doctor Who and Bobby Drake. So, um. Yeah. They're still on the run from whoever's chasing them, and they still have something to get done. Apparently, there's this group of evil sorcerers that has a spell that acts like some kind of virus or something, maybe. They're planning on using it on all of their enemies, and on random people. For...some reason. I don't know. It seems like maybe they get more powerful every time they use it, so maybe they feed off the energy of the person under the spell until the person dies? I dunno, I'm blaming that on The Forsaken.

So the Doctor, who is still all Time Lord-y and stuff except the TARDIS has been lost, or something, because he's stuck on Earth in present time and is passing for human. Or...I dunno. Maybe he's just human at this point in the dream. But the spell-virus-thing has been put on him. And also apparently one of the girls is an ex-sorcerer, or something. I'm not sure which one, but there's a conversation about how either Megs or Cass was involved in the group before it went all evil and then tried to stop them and ended up their prisoner before the Doctor and Bobby got her out.

Or maybe it was both Cass and Megs. Bobby and the Doctor have been working against the sorcerers for awhile now. Separately, at first, then they met up accidentally and realized they were both working for the same thing. And ended up stuck with each other, because they both want to help the girls and stop the sorcerers. They seem to get along fine despite the 'stuck with each other' attitude, though at this point no one knows that the Doctor is infected.

They manage to escape whoever's chasing them (I'm assuming it was some of the sorcerers), and find a motel to spend they night. They're reluctant to split up, because they're all paranoid and there's safety in numbers and stuff, so they get adjoining rooms and leave the door between their motel rooms open. The girls are in one room and the boys in the other, but if they talk a little bit louder than normal they can all hear each other.

So they chat and do the group bonding thing, and some of the stuff about their backgrounds and family is revealed. Which is another thing that makes me think the Doctor's mostly human at this point in the dream, since there's no mention of his whole alien, really old thing. Maybe he's a mutant, since there's mention of Bobby's powers. I don't remember much of what else was talked about, except that the Doctor and Bobby bonded over something about responsibility and not being good enough and people being scared of you.

They all fall asleep eventually, and then some point in the middle of the night the Doctor starts feeling really sick and gets up to go to the bathroom, where he's all shakey and fevery and generally looking horrible. Bobby follows him, and realizes that the Doctor's been infected by the spell-thing, and is mad at him for not saying anything. But then Bobby goes into how it doesn't change anything and they're still going to help each other and stop the sorcerers and save him. Bobby ends up staying up all night with the Doctor.

The next morning, the Doctor tells Cass and Megs that he's infected, and they're all sympathetic and promise that they'll stop the sorcerers before it's too late and they also feel a little guilty for being part of the group. The four of them do some research or something, I don't know, but they find out where the sorcerers are and take off. Then they're getting chased again, and they get shot at a couple of times before they lose the chasers.

They make it to where the sorcerers are and sneak in, but it turns out that they didn't actually lose the chasers, so the four of them end up surrounded on all sides by the sorcerers. Except apparently they're rival sorcerers, so everyone's fighting everyone, and it's really confusing. At some point, Bobby almost gets infected, but the Doctor manages to save him. The Doctor makes some comment about Bobby (and the girls) being the first ones to care in a long time and he has to live and blah blah. While they're talking, one of the sorcerers almost gets them, but Cass swoops in and saves them and makes some joke about bonding later.

They get a couple of guns that are specifically made to kill sorcerers (which the rival sorcerers brought, and the other sorcerers already had, or something), and manage to take out quite a few of them before they flee. After they leave, they end up with this other woman who...might be a sorcerer? Maybe? I dunno if she's working with them or if she's their prisoner, the rest of the dream goes back and forth with this.

They're hiding out and patching up their wounds and stuff, and some random amount of time passes. I think there might be another fight or two at some point, but I'm not sure. And somewhere along the way, Megs seems to have disappeared. No one seems concerned, despite the paranoia of being away from each other earlier. Whatever.

Finally, the Doctor, Bobby, Cass, and the woman-who-may-or-may-not-be-evil end up in what I think is a tool shed. Maybe. I dunno, some kind of storage room or something. And they're locked in there for some reason, which may have been intentional. Or not. It goes back and forth. But anyway, there's this really tense, somber, depressing atmosphere, and everyone seems really desperate.

Whatever's infecting the Doctor is apparently getting worse, and he doesn't have any time left. So, basically, they failed. Great. Bobby in particular is freaking out, and for some reason he thinks maybe it'll be a good idea if he just gets infected, too, but fortunately he doesn't do anything about that idea. But they all must be be already infected, or something, because the general feeling is that if the Doctor dies, they're all going to die. Or maybe they're all just really co-dependent. Whatever.

Anyway, they've got one of the sorcerer killing guns, and apparently that will like, stop the virus or something? I think maybe if the spell-virus goes to completion and kills the person it's infecting, it goes airborne and spreads. And the Doctor's trying to get someone to shoot him with the gun, but no one will. And possibly evil woman is trying to get people to shoot her, too, and Bobby almost does, but ultimately can't shoot her coldblood. Even though she's evil. K.

Instead, Bobby ends up staring at the gun and talking about it being like a really good night's sleep or something and I think he's going to shoot himself. Maybe. Both the Doctor and Cass try to stop him, even though they totally can't say anything, because they both want to die, too. But he doesn't shoot anyone, anyway.

And then woman who's definitely evil now decides to attack the Doctor (except possibly she was only attacking him to get someone to shoot her, because apparently she wants to die? Everyone's suicidal). So Bobby shoots her, and the bullet somehow ricochets or something and the Doctor also gets shot. Threw the throat. Yuck. And the Doctor's definitely a Time Lord now, whether or not he was before, and apparently possibly evil woman was a Time Lord as well as a sorcerer, because there's something about that gun being the only thing able to kill Time Lords.

Possibly evil woman is now definitely evil, since she was apparently the one behind the whole spell-virus thing, and now that she's dead, the world is safe.

But the Doctor's dead, too, and Bobby's having a little mental breakdown. Bobby caught the Doctor as he was falling after getting shot, so now Bobby's just kind of sitting on the floor holding the Doctor's body and crying.

Cass is really upset and Megs (who is now back, just like she's been here the whole time, only now she looks like Robin from How I Met Your Mother, wtf) is crying and the two of them are hugging. They try to get Bobby to leave the shed with them, but Bobby refuses. I don't know wtf went on at this point, but for some reason it's generally accepted that if the Doctor dies, Bobby's going to follow him, so Cass and Megs only make a halfhearted attempt to get Bobby to leave.

Cass and Megs leave, and Bobby's just being all filled with despair and still holding the Doctor's body in the shed. And then it seems like Bobby's been in love with the Doctor and didn't realize it until now, except maybe Cass and Megs knew? I don't know. But as Bobby'd crying and stuff, the shed gets all filled with light, and the Doctor does his regeneration thingie.

Bobby's freaking out now, and then he's holding this really gorgeous girl instead of the Doctor. Except the girl is the Doctor, just regenerated. Bobby's skeptical, but then the Doctor says something and Bobby figures out that it's him. Her? Whatever. So Bobby is just like, ecstatic, and kisses the Doctor. And the Doctor kisses him back and is all, 'I hoped you'd like this form.' And then Bobby feels guilty, and says something about how he's not just kissing the Doctor because he's a gorgeous girl now, that Bobby was in love with him before. The Doctor's all 'yeah, I know,' or something.

And then they figure out that the Doctor's human now, because Bobby can only hear one heartbeat or something, and that the spell-virus thing actually saved the Doctor's life, because it messed with the magic bullet that was supposed to kill him and instead made him regenerate into a human. I don't know.

The Doctor's still a little weak, so Bobby picks him (her) up and carries him out of the shed, and a ways down the road, where they find Cass and Megs and this other really hot guy who looks kind of like James from Twilight (I DON'T EVEN KNOW) who has apparently been there the whole time and who Cass has gotten together with. They all seem to recognize the Doctor instantly and they're all happy, and Bobby and the Doctor kiss again.

And then I woke up. Maybe. Although I vaguely remember something about the Doctor going back to being male, buuuut who knows, since my first reaction to that was "WTF brain, was it necessary to make one half of the dream couple switch genders?" Well, no, that was further down the line, after "wtf?", "no, really, wtf?", "omg random epic-ness", and something about wanting a different ending/sequel and I should go back to bed and hope one happened.

See? EPIC AND HUGE and wow, that got really long. It's probably my own fault, since I did watch The Forsaken right before bed, but still. WTF.

random, rl
