Headcanon:®» Does in fact have a headcanoned last name (Nagamori) on his father's side, though I do opt to leave it blank in case I ever get a Giovanni player. He does not have a headcanoned English lastname. He has a headcanoned last name of Yagami on his mother's side.
®»He's an only child. His mother named him and she died when he was young (Mentioned here and here in Vatheon) - this resulted in the boy growing up to be a bit of a spoilt brat.
®» Kanto is most likely his home region, with his hometown being Viridian City.
®» He used to have a toy Sneasel that he carried everywhere with him.
He saw the final half of his dad's match with Red and heard what was said. He blames Red for what happened.
®» He can be pretty callous at times, and while he hates hates losing, he will keep a promise made before a battle, though grudingly if it's one that he really doesn't like.
®» He'll only take his pokemon to a pokecenter if he has no other choice and even then, he'll be standoffish and distant.
®» He will battle another trainer regardless, though if information's more important, he'll get that first and then see about getting a battle.
®» Silver never really tried to distance himself from what he saw as weak/cowardly. IF he really had wanted to, he would have tried to be as nice to his pokemon as possible, he would not have carried on with treating them as tools. The fact that he didn't, IMO, suggests an attachment to his past, regardless of how he feels about his father on a whole.
®» He likes to push another person's buttons, get them riled up, laughing or grinning. By the same token, if his own are pushed, he does have a tempter.
®» While he is an abusive jerk, there are rare times when he honestly shows that he can be a decent human being towards others - because as much as his Pokemon are tools, they are his tools and he'd honestly hate to lose one. Though he'd hide it under his normal attitude and or take it out on his remaining Pokemon. This is getting better in Vatheon, with Here being one of the better examples.
®» Silver is a person who should never have been allowed to have a Pokemon, given the way he treats them. He has no qualms about pushing or kicking even a Feraligatr, or ordering it to fight even past the point of exhaustion. Surprisingly while yes, his pokemon are loyal out of fear, there's also that innate loyalty due to having bonded with the trainer. As Silver grows in vatheon, this bond will grow stronger.
®» He often makes his own Pokemon battle one another, either just using another Pokemon to punish another, or working them till they drop.
®» Silver grew up around Team Rocket and watching how they more or less treated Pokemon has influenced him, a lot. Seeing the disposable way they were used and experimented on, even the motto of exploit Pokemon for profit and seeing how quickly the ones that were weak were discarded, has shaped his world view that only the strong have right to remain, while those that are weak are abandoned.
®» In this vein, Silver uses trainer and master interchangeably, as they are the same thing in his mind. Pokemon are tools, slaves and the trainer's its master.
®» Silver's got a legit trainers licence - he got it at the age of ten, due to his father who was, at the time, also a gym leader as well as the Rocket Boss. He wasn't permitted to travel though. Not everyone allows ten year old's to travel in the world alone. By this token, I do headcanon that the general trainer age for a journey is 13 and up.
®» As he's the Rocket Heir (and to the mun's knowledge never implied/stated that he's no longer it) it's within his right to do whatever the hell he wants with Team Rocket - current goal to destroy them. He has little use for the weak. However, it's not a given that he won't rebuild them to make them stronger - because it is the life that he was raised in. Though this would come later, after he's done some growing up and matured and realised a whole lot of things and that it's the current team rocket that's weak, useless, for the most part.

®» Silver, while stating that he hates Team Rocket, has never, to my knowledge, stated that he's given up the position of the Heir. His drive to destroy them comes from the fact that he made that promise to get stronger on his own when he was about 13 - and it was a promise driven by strong emotions and sense of loss - of adbandoment by a father who was ultimatly a selfish coward. Silver's world, as far as he knew, had just been shattered. His father - the one man that he'd looked up to, was running away like a coward and Silver didn't understand why and he couldn't at the time, too focused on what he saw. That his Father was a coward and that means the Team Rocket must be a bunch as well. He conviently ignored the fact that he could damn well remember a time when the group was strong.
®» Fast-forward three years and Silver still doesn't understand - and he won't for at least another year and half and with this understanding will come maturity and an acceptance of what happened - mostly, and that he is the probable next leader of Team Rocket. It's probable given his maturity that he'll get the drive to make it a stronger organisation than before and act on it.
