I wish I had more free time and more money to use it. There are so many trips I wish I could take. So many people I wish I could see. So much desire to not go to work... I think I'm just burning out

I'm picking up what you're throwing down, man, I feel exactly the same. I get 15 days of vacation per year, period, and at least a week of that always goes to visiting my family, and the rest seems to slip away so quickly...and then, of course, there's being able to afford to do all the things I want to do, on top of that. I'm already feeling a little stir-crazy for some time away from work, and it's only been a month! And I have another month to go before I take a day off for my friend's graduation. I should focus on feeling grateful that I have a job, but ugh.
I'm sorry Galveston's not going to work out for you guys this year. I sincerely hope it is no way connected to the vacation days you used while I was there. Is there a part of town you guys never really go to? Maybe if you find something of interest to do in an unfamiliar area, it'll kind of almost be like getting away for a while?
No worries, it's not an issue of vacation time. I've actually got plenty of that. It's just other commitments this month preventing us from getting out of town for our anniversary.
By the way, did you get that email I sent? I feel like this reply probably addressed it, but hey, speculation can still be fun.
