Huckleberries and Glaciers

We had a wonderful time up in Glacier, getting in a three day, two night backcountry trip on the far northeast corner of the park.

Sometimes 20 hours of driving through the night are worth 72 hours of glacial lakes, thundering waterfalls, friendly foxes, and jagged peaks.

Beautiful! I am trying to convince Curtis to do a Glacier trip next summer. Probably not backpacking though.

Oh by the way, his homemade backpacking meal worked out really well but was way too much work so he gave up on that idea. ;)

Haha - I won't say I told him so :)

I looked into it more and realized it would be like buying a different size mattress - you have to change everything. You need a different stove, cooking equipment, and cleanup.

I *am* tempted to get a backpacking fishing pole for when we camp in non-bear country...

These are so gorgeous! It looks so green! I kept expecting a wildlife photobomb shot with your couples photos, given your streak. :)

I seriously have got to make it out there in the next couple of years, while the glaciers are still there and all.
