okay, I have a friend IRL who has taken to emailing me every day with the number of days until our wedding. I might kill her when I actually see her if she doesn't stop. I know how many days it is, I really don't need a visual reminder of how little time I have left thankyouverymuch ( Read more... )

So glad that things are coming together. No need to obsess, only you will end up caring/worrying about details. Everyone else will just bask in the glory of your special day, so don't sweat it! Happy to see that your little sis is back to help you these last few weeks.

yeah I know you're right about the details. It's hard for me not to obsess but I'm trying- I got a lot done last night so I'm feeling good :)

I can relate to the zen feeling. I was pretty much that way about my wedding, which was planned long distance. I had good recommendations, from people I trusted, for the vendors. There's only so much you can do. I'm sure everything will go well.

(I'm reptrgrl on WC; you may "know" me from the Boa journal.)

hey nice to see you over here! I think the long distance planning is what helps me feel calm about it- I made the bst choices I could and so far I've been so happy with all our vendors. Although last night I did have a dream where they all messed it all up so maybe I'm not so zen in my subconscious? ;)

Have you told the annoying emailing friend her emails are annoying? I guess that could be difficult, "hey, could you please stop reminding me how many days until my wedding?"

I'm glad you're feeling so zen about it all - I think that's a really healthy attitude. Just trust that you've hired competent professionals who will do a good job.

What's your final menu? I ate lots at my wedding. It was darned good, and I wasn't going to miss out.

I've alluded to it but am too much of a non-confrontationalist to come right out and say it :) Final menu is: spinach salad with mandarin oranges and almonds, rustic bread platter, baked brie with brandied fruits, pasta salad with some stuff I forget, make your own ravioli bar with delicious cheese raviolis, poached salmon with dill sauce, a carving station of sirloin beef with a horseradish sauce and fresh seasonal fruits with devonshire cream. It's a buffet. yum :D
How are you doing btw? How's school and Oscar and pregnancy and all that?

I can't believe your wedding is almost here Bre! You guys sound so happy, content and finally "home". Jen is in Portand this weekend officiating at a wedding of a dear friend and her partner. My other sister was just in Seattle over Memorial Day weekend. Everyone else always gets to go to the cool places- i have to say my Seattle t-shirt collection is growing. :) We'll make it there someday, maybe you'll have babies by then? Many blessings on you and your approaching wedding. I just know it will be so amazing! Can't wait to hear all about it!
take care, pache

oh Pache you guys must make it out here- it is a gorgeous part of the country and you'll always have a place to stay. How fun that Jen is officiating for friends- I'm so happy we decided to have Brian's sister officiate for us, she's a very relaxing and reassuring influence in these last crazy weeks. thanks for stopping by :)
