This community has been awfully quiet of late, and then hit by some Russian Spam.

Then our founder and moderator alliesutherland passed away suddenly on 12/23. As I was the one who inspired her to get her first bread machine with all of my babbling about my nummy recipes, I asked the LJ Gods to reassign the community to me so that I could keep it going

Yeps. She had dropped off the comm when the diabetes really set in and carbs became an issue.

You did meet her once - she did come up to MiRF once to see Minstrosity. She used her walker because she was embarrassed about using her wheelchair at the time, and I let her have it because we would much rather her be comfy and the people whose opinions matter don't care how it looks.

So young. :( I am sorry to hear of her passing, and thank you for continuing on with the group.

I didn't know her, but to hear of any young person's untimely passing is always unfortunate, sad and provoking -- my heart goes out to her friends and family during this difficult time....

She had a lot of health issues, but she was only 34 dammnit!
