HR people suck
While I realize that sending a ticked-off email to the HR guy at the City probably severely decreases my chances of getting hired or even called back by them, it was something I felt I needed to do. Not irritated, just musing
I love how my family just assumes someone is keeping everyone else up to date on their plans... I mean, I don't technically NEED to know my brother's coming to town and when, but if we're all gonna talk about dad stuff I'd like some time to prepare myself. -

Smelly again
I've had a very frustrating couple of weeks trying to get my doctor's office to send a couple prescriptions to my pharmacist. The pharmacy faxed my request multiple times and the nurses say they never got it. Finally I call the doctor's office myself and ask them to send the prescriptions. Professional and psychological update
In general I feel like I've been doing alright. I still feel frustrated about my job search, but I know I am competing against people who have far more experience than I do. I'm not happy in either of my jobs right now, but that's okay. This too, shall pass ( Read more... ) -

I'm trying to get myself meditating at home again. Yesterday I tried, but I kept feeling my pulse race and then stop, then start again. Not scary exactly, but definitely distracting. I just need to keep at it ( Read more... ) -
Job hunt status report
Office assistant position open at animal control... fixed my resume, crossing my fingers. Also applied for a couple at UNCC, and sent my new & improved resume w/ cover letter to HR at the credit union. Applied at a couple banks, even in Asheville. I had a long, continuous dream early this morning, and it was so intense that I just lay there when I woke from it, and couldn't get myself to get out of bed.
