Oh my god. Am I the first to comment? \o/! This story was AMAZING. I love the world you've created, it gives me a very Pink Floyd kind of feeling. Another brick in the wall? I'm also a HUGE fan of Gerard spitting out his medication. I loved your zone-runners and was sad to see them go! They reminded me of The Clash for some reason; dirty punk rock, and defiant until the end. "I fought the law, and the law won." Awesome story, I'll be waiting patiently for the next installment!

thanks very much I'm glad you liked it :D I'm also really really happy you mention the Clash because they're my favourite band, although the link wasn't a conscious one ;P
ta for the feedback, I was going to make this a one-shot but I'm thinking about continuing it since people like it :)

I love this.

I don't know if this is what you intended or not, but in my head, this is what takes place before what we have as "canon". Because I love the idea that what they're doing is in memory of Blue.

Ooh, also, if you've been reading Girl Automatic on Tumblr, there's been some discussion of the numbers on the wall in the Sing video tracing a connection to A Clockwork Orange, and she posted an excerpt from the book with themes really similar to this fic. :D

thank you! :)
yes that was my intention, I liked the idea of the zonerunners becoming empowered through their powerlessness in a way? too much post-colonial theory, my brain's saturated haha
I haven't been reading that actually, I'm a bit techno-illiterate, is there a link where I could find it? sounds pretty interesting.
ta for the feedback :)

This is Girl Automatic! She is fantastic and seems to know basically everything there is to know about the Killjoys universe.

Also, would you mind if, at some point in the future, I were to write a... prequel or something to this? I have an idea that I think will lead to their ending up in the jail you describe here :)

cheers for the link :)

yeah sure go ahead, just give us a link in your info, I'm needy for feedback ;) I was thinking of it more as like a...maybe an army barracks or something? not as in they're in the army but as in they're kept living in this environment because that's their work function, rather than it being a punishment centre. that said, I think interpreting it as a prison is totally cool and I'm looking forward to reading yr fic :D

Late to the party, but I just wanted to say I thought this was was fantastic. It was so open and fresh. I can totally see the clash in there, too!

I would totally read any continuation of this forever and ever! :)
