As ever, this is awesome. You are the picspam mastah. I literally have Rebecca (the book) sitting next to me on my desk because I loved the movie so much; I'm starting it later tonight. :) And I've realized that if I ever get married, which I doubt, it'll be just like His Girl Friday. Which is awesome. And y'know, you're right, SM did sort of want to be Cidade de deus...except it's not. And I still need to make time to see Giant--it's like the longest movie ever, but I hear it's epic. In fact, saving this to mems so I can Netflix some of these. ;)

I agree, I think it's easily Dean's best movie. It's just awesome to see Dean/Taylor/Hudson together on screen.

I enjoyed SM. It just wasn't super special to me after having seen City of God.

WORD on City of God. So much better than Slumdog Millionaire, granted not as happy but still amazing. I'm intrigued by your description of Indochine, I've never seen it and I'm very interested. Must rent it.

Indochine can be a little hard to get a hold of but I love it. Catherine Deneuve is really great.
