I've actually seen a few episodes of Matt LeBlanc's show. It was actually fairly decent from what I saw (nothing to write home about, but watchable) but LeBlanc was the least remarkable thing about it. The other two leads were better and funnier, but he has the name recognition.
Ugh I forgot about Sue's sister storyline this season. I thought she might not win because Sue didn't have a lot to do this season (and was missing for many episodes), but I suppose a dying sister storyline would work in her favour. Ew.
I think I saw an ad for it at the movie theater of all places once (something about how he has a big penis, lol), but then I totally forgot about it and when I saw his name today, I was like WHAT MATT LEBLANC?!!
I hate how the Emmys pretty much just use one episode to judge. I guess that's how it has to be when there are that many shows and obviously not enough time to people to watch everything, but I would much rather have a more select group of voters who actually watch EVERYTHING. People who are consistently great always get passed over for people who have one really showy scene.
Ugh. Tired of Slattery getting nominated tbh. Like, I'm partial to Kartheiser and wish he'd at least get recognized too. There's more than one supporting actor in Mad Men and it's frustrating to always see Slattery get recognized even though he's barely done anything in the last 2 seasons.
Was super happy that Game of Thrones got nominated. I thought it might get snubbed and I'm happy it didn't. Jon Cryer must have some scandalous pictures of someone in the voting comitee because good lord, why does this dude keep getting nominated?
Yeah, I'm trying to remember anything Slattery did last season that was of any significance and I literally am drawing a blank. I guess he knocked up Joan, but that's not exactly a tough acting job. lol.
I know most people were predicting GoT to get nominated but I was still worried that it might get screwed over because of the genre. It did still get screwed over in tech categories though (no art direction or cinematography nods?). lol, I have never understood Jon Cryer's Emmy success at all. You would think they'd kick him out this year, instead of NPH.
I`m very happy with the noms this year !So thrilled for the love TBBT is getting! 11 noms for Downton Abbey is amazing as well and 13 for my favorite show of the summer !
I`m still upset that Sean Bean was snubbed though.....
I wish Sean Bean couldn't gotten in but lead actor is ridiculously stiff competition every year, even with Breaking Bad not in the mix this time. And GoT is not exactly 'showy' enough for its actors, other than Dinklage.
Yeah that`s true and they must have found his character too 'plain' or bland for best actor. Yeah that`s true GoT has too many characters and too many great actors so it becomes hard for a single to stand out.
I love how they keep nominating Hugh Laurie and NEVER let him win. lmao He has been nominated since House started and never won. He pretty much won every other award except this.
I wish Game of Thrones got more acting nominations, but this is fine I guess.
I know, the stupid thing about the Emmys is they always repeat winners sooo much that there's always people who never have a chance to win. Martin Sheen was the exact same, won every other award except this.
Too bad about Sean Bean since he can't submit again next year. I thought people would be so shocked by Ned dying that they might vote for him sentimentally. Oh well.
