I'm going to also have a spam party. And a speculation post (no spoilers allowed!). But I'm not sure what else. Maybe a crossover day (either put the BrBa characters into another show, or put other characters into BrBa). Don't suppose you have any ideas? I waited too long for the Fantasy Breaking Bad, and I'm so annoyed! I wrote up the whole post for it a couple of days ago but then realised that spoilers and promo videos have been floating around for weeeeeks now (because I'm avoiding them like the ~plague I hadn't really noticed). SO DISAPPOINTED WITH MYSELF!

Ohh! First off, great idea! We need to wake up all the BrBa LJ fans again ready so we can all hold hands through the final episodes. I really REALLY need a support system for this show because it is going to kill me dead.

As for suggestions...how about a few character appreciation days? Like say, if it is a Jesse day you could do a Jesse specific meme asking fans for their favourite Jesse moments, lines, outfits, etc. Maybe thoughts on Aaron's best acting and predictions on what will (or what we want to) happen to Jesse in the end. And then do one of those posts for each of the main characters (well, Walt, Jesse, Skyler and Hank at least). I'd definitely enjoy a more general speculation post too (maybe save that one for the final weekend before 5x9 airs!)

Great job building up the BrBa excitement! Please keep going. I'll support every post. :)

I SO hope Skinny Pete and Badger survive! That scene where Skinny Pete plays the piano randomly is (another) one of my favourites!!! Such an unexpected and perfect addition to his characterisation. ♥

(I have a massive soft spot for season 1 which it seems like a lot of fandom doesn't share?) I SHARE IT, I SHARE IT!!! As much as I love how much darker the show has gotten since the early days, I will ALWAYSSSSS relish in the ridiculousness that was so much of season one (and I mean that in the best way). I love the dynamic between Walt and Jesse then, Walt's 'drug business' naivete, and Jesse's ridiculous speech patterns and clothing and just, ALL OF IT! SO GOOD!!! I've NEVER been so utterly and completely sucked into a show after the first five minutes of its pilot episode as I was with BrBa. And I have not looked back since

I don't know if it's just an ONTD thing, but I am constantly reading how slow and boring people found season 1 on BB posts over there, posters are always advising newbies to just push through that season and good stuff will start happening later on. I'm amazed because I feel like BB had the perfect pilot episode to draw people into the show, and there's so much good stuff happening that season with Walt's character development, the comedy double act of Walt and Jesse and all of the humour there, our first intro to the characters and seeing how they all respond to Walt's cancer etc. Something like the Gray Matter episode with the background we get into Walt's motives and past is all just fascinating to me

I finally find people who actually enjoys s1! TBH, if I have to admit it, I kind of miss s1 tone, which feels more dramedy and more...self-contained? Idk. It just feel less 'explosive' and more quiet, which I appreciate very much. Much more talking and character stuffs. Not like other seasons are bad, but, yeah, season 1 is really, really, great.

I kind of understand why people think that Breaking Bad feels a bit...slow, at the beginning, though.
