Determination
She collapses to her knees, breathing heavily. Her pink fur is drenched with sweat. Her eyes look at the stopwatch in her gloved hand. Her fingers clench around it, tightly.
Not fast enough.
She pulls herself to her feet, stumbling. She slids off her headband, breathing heavily, then pulls it back on, pushing her sweaty bangs back. She stays there for a moment, feeling grains of dirt sticking to her fur, trembling all over. Then, she runs.
She runs because she has to, needs to. She must get faster. She has to, needs to.
She must catch up with Sonic.
