"The single group exception, whose members should not consume any alcohol, is pre-menopausal women with a family history of breast cancer."
My Grandma Wanda died from breast cancer before I was born. I believe she was in her thirties. I've been going on the assumption that moderate consumption of good red wine is healthy for me, and this news disappoints me--although, I was told by my OBGYN that "family history" really just means immiediate family. She said I shouldn't be worried about breast cancer if my mom doesn't have it. I don't know if I believe that...
I much prefer a good live beer to any other beverage. Full of B vitamins and other useful things. Of course American massmarket brew doesn't qualify. I'd rather go without than drink that stuff :-) (such a snob, yes I am)
